Quilt Aid 2009
12 designers join with 12 shops to bring you 12 unique blocks which can be finished in a variety of different ways - a quilt you will love to make with the added benefit of supporting a charity! I'm very proud of our finishing kit and whilst it looks gorgeous you will be pleased to hear that it is quite achievable and results in a square quilt approx 84" square so a pretty good queen sized bed topper. I've used some great tips and techniques to make life easier for you when making the quilt! Each block has a small border added around it which makes up for any minor sizing issues with the blocks - we all have times when the blocks come up a little small or we miscut! This takes out the stress of trying to get them all exactly the same. The applique blocks are alternated with quarter square triangle blocks. These quarter square triangles are made large and cut back to size (my blog has step by step guidance) You will note that these blocks are all the same, just rotated in different directions. Give it a go, you will love the results.
