I've now made the Very Hungry Caterpillar floor play mat/quilt. – New! - This fabric has received lots of attention already. The picture below is the planned quilt – very quick and easy to achieve. The kit is $90 including backing and binding fabric which is very reasonable! The scale may vary a little and the yellow fabric is a stripe not solid, but you get the general idea of the play mat. This is seriously cute fabric available only as a “kit” which includes 60cm of the panel, 1.2m x 50cm border print, 60cm dot, 1.35m backing. It won’t last long!

We are offering a “Very Hungry Quilters” class on Friday 16^th May $30 plus kit. We’ll get Pizzas from Mamma Teresa for the Very Hungry Quilters so come along and enjoy the class – beginners more than welcome.

Also in the queue for my sewing machine is this Hemming House quilt – New! - using half a “layer cake” set on point. These fabrics could make an excellent “man quilt” as they aren’t overly floral and the colours are wonderful… a little more lively than the colours pictured here… but then nothing looks as bright as the Very Hungry Caterpillar quilt above!!! Kits are available for this quilt. Only a limited number are available.

What’s a layer cake?

A new product from Moda – each “cake” consists of forty 10” squares from a Moda range. Completely coordinated and extremely useful.

The Teddy Bear’s Tea Party – New! - is simply adorable in these Simplicity Fabrics. We have a very similar kit for $130 including pattern, fabric for the quilt top (including a full Simplicity Charm Pack) and some additional fabric for the inner borders as well as binding. You choose the border fabric from some 3 Sisters classics (featuring a yellow, blue or green background).

It’s never too late to make a gift to give

If you run out of time to make the project, you could always give the book to your mum instead!

	Flour Sugar - 8^th June – 1-4 - $25 to celebrate the arrival of the Flower Sugar range come and make Laura’s “Cupcake pincushion” or “Cupcake block” with the new range! Cupcakes provided. Kits available to purchase on the day. Bring your favourite cake recipe to share
	Let’s Strip in the daytime! Due to popular request we are setting up a daytime 2 ½” strip club – similar to a sit and sew. Commencing Wednesday 14 May 12-2:30 please bring your own lunch or have an early lunch before you come. Cost usually $10 per session (some sessions will cost more depending on the pattern but not more than $16). Price includes pattern.
